Witty & Efficient Storage
NEXT TIME YOU HAVE LEFT OVER CAKE USE THIS WITTY STORAGE TIP FOR DUAL EFFICIENCY.
Typically, left over cake ends up on a plate that is wrapped with seran or foil. Problem is, a loose wrap of seran will compromise your cake's freshness and, the taste will be affected as well as it will adopt aromas from other foods in the refrigerator. If you prefer foil, odds are you will forget what lie's beneath and end up throwing the cake away or squashing it unintentionally with other refrigerator food items.
Here is a method of storage to protect freshness, flavor, effective squash-proof storage, a transparent view so you don't forget about it and, lid usage that doubles as a serving dish and storage container.
Instructions:
FLIP OVER a deep Tupperware container tall enough to exceed the height of your cake. Place left over cake neatly ON THE LID. Cover cake with container and tightly close. Store in refrigerator.
Next time you want a piece of cake simply cut your piece gently on the lid it was stored on and serve. No need to strategically cut "inside" of a container then scoop out since your flip-a-roo will now serve as a plate. If you still have left overs cover cake with container once again, tightly close and store in refrigerator.
